You May Have Been Told

I won the distinguished faculty award in 2017 at Notre Dame College. In addition to the recognition and the plaque for our office walls, winners of this award were asked to give a speech at opening convocation. I decided to write this silly poem addressed to the freshman class in the spirit of Alexander Pope's "An Essay on Criticism."
